Project: Mohammed Bin Rashid City – District One, UAE

In January 2014, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated District One at the ambitious MBR City, a mixed-use, leisure and sports development spanning over 54 million sqf of freehold land a few kilometres away from the Burj Khalifa. District One alone stretches across four million square feet of land. Jointly developed by Meydan Group and renowned Indian developer Sobha Group,


Projects: Quality of life projects (incl Park and Public Realm Projects)

As part of the initiative to transform the city, the municipality announced that some 68 projects worth around Dh4.5 billion currently either being reviewed, designed or implemented. Redesigning and renovating several parks for the purpose of increasing green spaces in the city and delivering public squares form a core part of these projects 


Project: Mall of the World

Developer: Dubai Holding

Project Value: $6.9bn (AED 25bn)

Dubai Holding has said that it was relocating its Dh25 billion Mall of the World project to a site fronting Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. In a statement, Dubai Holding said that the decision to move the site was taken so that it can be based in an area where its "positive tourism contribution can be fully realised".  a new 48 million square feet property fronting Sheikh Zayed Road was proposed in the Al Sufouh district on land opposite Mall of the Emirates. Part of this site houses the existing Dubai Police College, which was planned for relocation. At the relaunch, Dubai Holding said that it expected to start work on the site early last year with a view to complete the first phase in 2018.

Developer: Abu Dhabi City Municipality

Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has unveiled the layout of 20 sites for children playgrounds to be constructed within parks during 2015-2016 at a cost of more than 30.542 million dirham, spanning an area of ‚Äč‚Äčover 14,000 square meters under the infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi Mainland - North. These projects, which come as part of the Master Development Plan of Abu Dhabi and suburbs 2030, reflect the Municipal System's keenness & strategy aimed at developing infrastructure system of all cities and constructing parks & playgrounds.


Project: Msheireb Downtown Doha

Msheireb Properties’ flagship project, Msheireb, will regenerate and preserve the historical downtown of Doha.A QR20 billion development, it will revive the old commercial heart of the city through a new architectural language that is based on community living, across a 31 hectare (76 acre) site. The Msheireb project will blend traditional Qatari heritage and aesthetics with modern technology, and focus on sustainability and harmony with the environment.

The mixed-use development will comprise more than 100 buildings, with a combination of commercial and residential properties, retail, cultural and entertainment areas.
